Winter
Winter is said to be a season of sorrow
Who says so
I don’t believe at all
I’d accept it
Only if it can bring out my tears
By consoling my inmost grief
That impales my heart…
You
For poet Hiren Bhattacharya
You’re endless
You’re luminous
You’ve your beginning
Where the world reaches its end
The path of reversion into apes
In memory of the Beltola incident
Today I beheld nature’s new form
I beheld mankind’s naked reality
I discovered within myself
The incorporeal footprints of the soul
Humans give birth to humans
At all times humans extirpate humans
This is incontrovertible
But from one mind to another
From one life to another
From one brain to another
There’s a string in between
That keeps the future of the world bound
If we can touch the string
We turn into God
If not, we turn into Satan
Perhaps we’re on the path of reversion
Back into apes
